Dr. Starkey, a graduate of the University of Minnesota and the University Of Tennessee College Of Health Services, has been practicing dentistry in Charlottesville since 1985. He is married with 3 children and 3 grandchildren. He enjoys family vacations at the beach, skiing, tennis and reading. Dr. Starkey spent 5 years as a dental missionary to France and Benin, West Africa and looks forward to periodic mission trips. At the office Dr. Starkey and his staff like working together and showering their patients with TLC.

Kathleen D. Davenport, R.D.H. graduated from Old Dominion University. She has been with Dr. Starkey since 2002. Kathleen has 2 girls, 1 son, and I "grand-dog"! She lives with two Siamese cats named William and Mary. She enjoys beekeeping, kayaking, and gardening.

Martha Hof, R.D.H. has been with Dr. Starkey's practice since 1992. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.A. in Psychology in 1974 and an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1979. Martha worked as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Vermont and in private practices in Vermont and New Hampshire before moving to Charlottesville in 1987. Martha is married and has 3 children. She loves to ski and travel.

Margaret Wynne, R.D.H. is a recent graduate of the Medical College of Virginia Dental Hygiene Class of 2005. She and her family have resided in the Charlottesville/ Keswick area all of their lives. She is the newest and youngest member of our staff. While in school, Margaret volunteered her time on many Mission of Mercy (MOM) Projects in Wise County and Grundy. She is an active member of the American Dental Hygiene Association (ADHA) and the Dental Hygiene National Honor Society. She enjoys exercising, swimming and spending time with family (including her twin brother) and friends.

Helene Hogan has been a dental assistant with Dr. Starkey since 1988. She is married and has three boys, one girl and eight grandchildren. She loves spending time with family, going to the beach, playing golf and working in her flower garden.

Ruth Houchens has been a dental assistant with Dr. Starkey since 1992. She is married to the love of her life. They have one son, a special aunt and a big red dog at home. Ruth is an active member of the Charlottesville-Albemarle Dental Assistants Society. She enjoys all kinds of crafts and sewing.

Debbie Williams joined Dr. Starkey's team in 2002. She works at the front desk to ensure that your dental experience from the beginning is a pleasant and smooth one. She has been married since 2001 and has one son. Debbie graduated from Nelson County High School in 1989. She has attended Piedmont and Blue Ridge Community Colleges taking various business courses. She loves going to the beach, scrap booking (when time permits) and enjoying her Blue Ridge Mountain view with her family and friends.

Gail Lesser joined Dr. Starkey's team in 2004. She graduated in 1982 from West Chester University in Pennsylvania with a B.S. degree in Business Administration & Marketing. Since Gail is a people person, she will always greet you with a smile and will help to ensure that you have a pleasant dental experience. She has been married since 1983 and has 2 sons. She also has 2 dogs and a rabbit. She is from Maryland and enjoys cooking, especially seafood! She and her family enjoy going to the beach, snow skiing and they are all huge soccer fans.
